LANDSTYLUS SURVEY #2 - Calum Stirling

Calum Stirling creates Landstylus #2 from a question: Is there a hidden music score in the landscape? Does the view of mountains have a certain melody?
This artist looks for the music hidden in the topography of the mountains.
To try to find the hidden universal language of nature is probably one of man’s oldest aspirations, and to do this using the technology within our reach at each historical moment is a fact.
From the computerised analysis of the mountain topography and according to the parameters established by the artist, a score is generated which is interpreted by a violinist. In the video we can see the landscape where the sounds come from and hear the sounds that come from the landscape.
